Morgan’s blog post – February 2, 2018
We would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who has helped and donated football items for the girl’s Razkal football team in Cebu, Philippines. We will be traveling there on Tuesday to help support the girls! The participants at the soup-lunch from the church in Gullspång kindly donated SEK 770:- which we will use to buy training ladders and footballs once arriving in the Philippines. Gullspångs IF football team generously donated football shirts, shorts, socks and goal keeper clothes. We were happy to receive training vests in different colors from Länsförsäkringar in Mariestad! We would also like to thank Katarina Magnusson and Waldermar Schettini for donating more football shirts, shorts, training vests, goal keeper gloves, socks and footballs! We have received a pair of football shoes from Partex Sweden employee Margareta Aldrin, first aid kit from TorBjörn Lööf and first aid kit items from Partex Sweden. It has been so great to see the kindness and generosity from so many people who want to help the girl’s Razkal football team! Thank you!!
I am really looking forward to meeting all the girls, hearing about their lives, watching them play and especially handing over all donated items for them! I will be holding a team building workshop for the girls to strengthen the team and help them continue to work well together. As well I will hold a self-awareness workshop for the football girls to teach them about having good self-confidence, self-esteem and trust in themselves. While there I will also be visiting the Mohon Divino Amore National Highschool where I will be holding a gender equality workshop and self-awareness workshop for the students.
The girls will have a few practices while I am there that I will attend and help with, and play with them! I have the great privilege to see them play a game on Saturday and will get to cheer them on in person! If you’d like to help cheer on the girls, stay tuned as I’ll be writing daily blog posts and sharing activities live!
