We are thrilled to announce that we have raised SEK 26 800:- for the rebuilding of the greenhouse at Home of Hope in Nepal. Through the generous donations made by Gnosjö Global Association, Solveig Sundberg, Jonas Lexing, Lundins Kök and Rachel Phillips. Rachel Phillips who joined us on our last trip to Nepal in December 2018, held a disco fundraiser in the UK last weekend. Many people came and bought raffle tickets, they had a fish and chip van and many people came to attend the event. They raised an amazing SEK 17 300:- in one night! We are so proud and delighted for this overwhelmingly huge contribution! Thank you Rachel for hosting such a successful event! To rebuild the greenhouse it will cost SEK 27 300:- and with all of these amazing donations, we have enough to almost cover the full expense of the greenhouse. We cannot express our gratitude enough to all people who helped contribute. Early this summer the greenhouse was hit hard by the weather of the monsoon season, knocking the greenhouse down. During our upcoming trip to Nepal next week, we are rebuilding the greenhouse using iron and thicker plastic, making the greenhouse last for even more years throughout any types of weather. Once the greenhouse is rebuilt, they will be able to start replanting again. A big thank you to Ulvesund’s greenhouse for donating different types of seeds to us to plant in the greenhouse!
