Today was a very special day in Kathmandu, as we picked up the puppy pug who will live with the children at Home of Hope. He is 75 days old, and cutest little pup! He was very shy at first, but after some food and spending time with us, he was playing, running, and jumping around!

Many studies and research shows that “growing up with pets is linked to higher self-esteem, cognitive development, and social skills.” Studies have also shown that the impact of pets on children is “reducing stress, providing social support and companionship, and improving children’s communication skills.”

We feel Sandy will be a great addition to Home of Hope and give our children some comfort, love, companionship and education in how to raise an animal. We cannot wait for all of the children to meet this adorable and playful puppy!!
