Today I visited the building site to see the progress being made. Yesterday, two workers (Edwin and Ken) started digging the hole for the septic tank. They must dig 3 meters deep. They had started working at 7:30 this morning, and accomplished so much. The hole was so deep today compared to yesterday!

Tomorrow they will finish digging the hole for the septic tank. Yesterday they finished putting up a wooden frame around the edge of the foundation. This is in preparation for laying the slab (cement base floor) of the building. This will be a mixture of cement, sand, small stones and water. I will arrive to the building site early tomorrow and spend the day there to see the whole process. There have been a few truck loads of material delivered yesterday and today, and even one delivered this evening.

It’s been great to be here on site and see the building and construction process in action. I feel very grateful for all the hard work being put into this project, and to see the efforts and dedication by the construction workers. I am very much looking forward to seeing them start the process of building the walls on Tuesday!

Stay tuned for further building progress in the next few days to follow! It will be amazing to see the building grow and rise right in front of our eyes!
