Cat Shelter, Sweden Autumn 2014
Largest donation ever seen at cat shelter
The cat shelter in Toreboda is home to 60 adult cats and 30 kittens. Many of the cats have been abandoned, with kittens found by the side of the road or in the woods. The cats are cared for by Lisbeth Johansson and her staff.
Last autumn Lööf Foundation paid the cat shelter a surprise visit and brought along cat food worth 510 EUR, the local grocery store’s whole stock. Lisbeth cried tears of thankfulness when she received the gift.
– We’ve never had this much cat food, she said.
Stella Mårtensson, fourth generation of the family business that runs Lööf Foundation” , said after the visit:
“It felt good to see the joy at the shelter, now we know that our contribution really made a difference.”
