We are thrilled to announce a significant development in our ongoing efforts to safeguard both our communities and snake populations. The Lööf Foundation has demonstrated incredible generosity by donating a much-needed vehicle to the expert snake handling team at the Ndlondlo Reptile Park. This contribution marks a significant enhancement to their ability to respond swiftly and safely to snake-related emergencies.

This newly acquired vehicle will not only aid in the efficient handling and relocation of venomous snakes but will also play a crucial role in the Anti-Venom project. By enabling the park to reach more call-outs promptly, it allows them to deepen their involvement in this vital initiative. It’s important to note that rescued snakes from residential areas serve as essential blood donors crucial for producing anti-venom, underscoring the significance of this endeavor.

Since the handover, Neville and Helen from the park’s expert team have wasted no time. They have already responded to four call-outs, expertly removing and relocating venomous snakes from residential areas, thereby significantly contributing to the safety of the communities.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to CMH Ballito for their kind sponsorship, which ensures that the park receives a tank of fuel each month. This support is instrumental in enabling them to continue their vital work effectively.

This partnership between the Ndlondlo Reptile Park and its supporters is making a tangible difference in snake conservation, public safety, and the advancement of crucial research. We are excited to witness the impact of this collaboration and look forward to sharing more updates on their incredible work.

Stay tuned for further developments as we continue the mission to protect both humans and wildlife alike. Together, we can make a lasting difference in the world of snake conservation.
