THE LÖÖF FAMILY VISITS DUDUZANI PRIMARY SCHOOL, SOUTH AFRICA

10 February 2023:

Today was an incredible day as the Lööf Foundation made its first visit to Duduzani Primary
School, a charming local school located just outside Durban, South Africa. The anticipation and
excitement were palpable as we arrived at the school, which officially opened its doors on 4
August 2017. The entire school was adorned with the Swedish flag and colours, honouring the
Lööf family’s visit. The children were dressed beautifully for the occasion, radiating happiness
and hope.

South Africa’s education system, although partially funded by the government, often struggles to
provide sufficient resources for its schools. According to Amnesty International, this lack of
support perpetuates inequality and deprives many children in underprivileged communities of a
quality education. It is against this backdrop that the Lööf Foundation is grateful to have
encountered Duduzani Primary School, an institution dedicated to providing a good education to
its students against all odds. We were able to provide the school with essential supplies such as
school materials, uniforms, and shoes.

Today marked our second visit to Duduzani Primary School and we were thrilled to return
alongside our dear South African friend, Khosi, who has been instrumental in facilitating our
engagement with the school. For this visit, the car was loaded with much-needed sports
equipment. As we approached the school, a wave of excitement swept over the children, who
eagerly ran towards us. Their smiles and genuine enthusiasm were truly heartwarming. The

children couldn’t wait to hug us and get their hands on the sports equipment, particularly the
footballs. The atmosphere was electrifying, filled with laughter and joy.

The highlight of the day was the captivating Zulu dance performances put on by the talented
students. Their energy and rhythm infused the air with a sense of cultural pride. The Lööf family
joined in the festivities, sharing laughter and creating lasting memories with the school children.
Witnessing the children’s happiness and gratitude for the sports materials was a powerful
reminder of the impact our support can have on their lives.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Makhosazane Gantsa for coordinating this
special day and ensuring that everything ran smoothly. Her efforts made it possible for the Lööf
Foundation to continue its support for Duduzani Primary School, enabling these deserving
children to have access to the tools they need to thrive academically and physically.

Until next time,

Sophie, Patrik, daughters Vilda and Holly… and baby Charlie.
