Since our visit and support to the girls Razkal football team in the Philippines last year, they have expanded the team with more girls joining. Their coach Ronan and his friends first started the team in 2010 to allow underprivileged girls the chance to play sports. They have over 50 girls practicing and playing now. They are hoping to play in an upcoming tournament in October to prepare for their regional championship. We would like to extend a big congratulations to two girls from the team who have benefited positively from the sport as they have received futsal scholarships for college in Manila.

The Razkal club allows young girls to engage in sports, rather than bad influences such as drugs and alcohol. It has given the girls skills in teamwork, leadership, self-discipline and teaching them about hard work. It’s great to see that the club is continuing, and more girls are engaging in the sport!
