Home of Hope celebrates three years!
HAPPY 3 YEARS HOME OF HOPE!
On April 30, we celebrated three years of Home of Hope being up and running. All of the children, house mother Asha, house father Shyam and the Home of Hope board members gathered to celebrate together with cake, treats and good food! It fills us with so much joy to see all of the children thriving, developing, having a childhood and most of all being happy and feeling loved.
We remember the first day that the children moved into Home of Hope, they were so young and little. Some came with a small backpack, or just with the clothes on their backs. They were shy, unsure and carried many traumas from their pasts. Now today, they have trust, they are outgoing, full of energy, succeeding in school and feel a purpose in their lives and futures.
Home of Hope has grown and expanded in many ways through the years. With the addition of a chicken house, green house, solar panel, washing machine and fridge. By helping Home of Hope be more self-sufficient helps our children prepare for adulthood and their futures. Home of Hope was designed to create and give hope to the children who enters its doors. We feel proud when the children tell us about their hopes and dreams with confidence and enthusiasm. They now feel a hope for the future that they didn’t feel before. Happy three years and many more to come!
