We support UN’s sustainable development goals!
UN goal #3 – Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages
During our trip to the girls in February we held three workshops surrounding the topics of team work, gender equality and self-trust/self-awareness. Not only does our support to the girls give them the opportunity to continue gaining health benefits from a physically active sport, but our workshops also helped to strengthen their mental health as well!
UN goal #5 – Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls
Through our gender equality workshop, we worked to strengthen the football girls and school girls fight for equality and empower them that they can do anything they want, despite gender. Often, girls are not seen as able to play sports or are underestimated which is the case for this girls’ team. By supporting these girls with uniforms and football equipment, empowers them to play football and know that they can compete just the same as anyone else.
The girl’s Razkal football team is a free team for underprivileged girls to play football. They are a resilient, determined and hard-working group of girls. The girls do not have a football field to practice on, as it can be costly, and they do not receive funding. Despite these setbacks, the girls continue to play and win tournaments.
Many of the sustainable development goals presented by the United Nations is achievable over time if we all work together. It all starts with making a difference in one other person’s life. If you are interested in the UN sustainable development goals or want more information, please visit,
