Morgan’s Diary – September 14, 2016

We left in the morning for Ratankot and got stuck in the mud along the drive about 4 times as it’s been so rainy. We had to walk the rest of the way to Home of Hope, about 2 hour walk down the mountain then up the mountain. We made it just before dark. Hari Krishna Thapa and Aren Bhandari met us and walked with us. So good to see them again, they’ve grown so much. It was so good to see all of the kids again and meet Sunita for the first time! She is so outgoing and has a bubbly personality! Monica and I sat with the kids while they studied and we read English to them.

I feel like I came home, and so happy to see all children again, I can’t express in words how much I am glad I am back with all the children. Monica is fantastic with all the children, Sunita told Monica and I that it was like her mom and dad were coming to visit her and that she is very happy we came here. Monica was brought to tears and I can tell how touched Monica already is by the children. They have this affect on you because they are all so filled with love!
