Building process started!
The building of the enclosure has begun. Andi, her staff, and the team from Drakensberg Gate and Fence have started to put up the electric fences for the Lööf Foundation Lion Lagoon enclosure. The enclosure will be 2 hectares large with plenty of rocks, trees for shade, and running water throughout. Mandla and Sibindi will inhabit the enclosure, two male brothers that are both 17 months old. One of the brothers was saved from a shoot and drop, meaning that it gets dropped into a large enclosed area, and then shot/hunted right away. While his brother was saved from being bred for hunting.
Lööf Foundation will be traveling back to Appin Farm in South Africa during mid-July for the inauguration of the Lööf Foundation Lion Lagoon enclosure. Stay tuned for updates about the building progress of the enclosure, and for more photos!
